Pamela Mahoney Tsigdinos (Sig-din-us) is a freelance journalist and independent researcher focused on public policy. She previously spent 30+ years in corporate America. She is, perhaps, best known for her work as a truth-teller about the painful realities of unexplained infertility, and the trauma caused by pronatalism and bad actors in ‘fertility’ medicine.
She is also the award-winning author of Silent Sorority, the first infertility memoir not authored by a mother, and Finally Heard, which examines the psychological, social, and cultural consequences that ‘Generation IVF’ face in a pronatal society. She led the grassroots initiative ReproTechTruths.org in 2018 to counter the saccharine pro-IVF narrative orchestrated by the for-profit, self-regulated ‘fertility’ industry to mark the 40th anniversary of Louise Joy Brown’s birth. She is passionate about research, writing and advocacy work, and committed to raising awareness about the trauma IVF patients experience.
Pamela's work has been profiled in The New York Times, The Globe and Mail, SLATE, Center for Genetics and Society, STAT, Women's eNews, ABC-10, The American Prospect, The New Atlantis, and the Ottawa Citizen. Her writing is published in outlets including The New York Times, Boston Globe, Newsweek, FORTUNE, STAT, San Francisco Chronicle, WIRED, Marie Claire, Nevada Current, Reno Gazette Journal and other publications.
